Chapter 23 A mirage picture perfect marriage

"Omg! Someone call 911" I hollered and jumped off Sebastian's hands only to rush to the podium.
"Omg! Someone call 911" I hollered and jumped off Sebastian's hands only to rush to the podium.

People parted like the red sea, mostly they had a scorned look on and they didn't want to make body contact with me.

They were whispering and pointing fingers at me. The days of me feeling ashamed of my old profession were over. I had nothing to be ashamed of, I only felt bad for disappointing my father and mostly for ruining church service for the people.

Let he who has never sinned cast the first stone. They have all sinned and done terrible things in secrecy but of course, whoever's sin got exposed will be crucified first.

I could only care less about the bunch of hypocritic sinners judging me for sinning differently.

"Father!" I shook him roughly and Sebastian ordered my bodyguards to lift him and take him into the car while we made excused ourselves.

"Leaving so soon?" William stood with arms akimbo right in front of the car and he prevented us from driving.

"Why don't you go to hell and leave me the fuck alone," I yelled from the passenger side.

"Why? I didn't plan on having your father faint but I think this touch of drama makes it even more satisfactory." Will chuckled.

"I warned you against crossing me, didn't I?" Sebastian gritted his teeth. He looked so damn angry. The last time I saw him with this particular murderous gaze was when he went to beat Elijah up for placing a bomb in my car.

"I will make sure your account gets closed down and you will never be able to open another," Sebastian said in a deep throaty baritone.

"Blab all you want, I acted on impulse and after your last threat, I went ahead to secure my IP address alongside my accounts." He adjusted the lapel of his jacket.

"I hired the best tech genius to protect my business from bullies like you." He yelled and banged on the bonnet of the car.

"You bloody covetous fellow! You collect over seventy percent of the entire revenue shares from all the dolls yet you are still mad I left?" I yelled angrily. My face was flushed and veins were throbbing in my neck.

"My dolls don't fire me, I do the firing, and trust me on this, Cece, you crossed the line and I promised to get back at you." He said. "Well, here comes my revenge." He winked at us.

"Luke!" I called my bodyguard who was seated in the driver's seat.

"Yes ma'am." He answered with a salute and a mild bow.

"If the bastard doesn't leave in ten seconds, run him over!" I gave him a tight-lipped smile while William glared at me daringly.

"You wouldn't dare, you don't want blood on your hands, do you?" William's jaw went slack.

"Yes ma'am!" Luke rubbed his hands together and turned on the engine. The engine roared thrice.

"Are you ready, Luke?" I inquired with a straight face.

"I was born for this." The engine roared even louder than before. He placed his leg on the accelerator and the car pushed swiftly forward.

William jumped out of the way and fell clumsily into a ditch while yelling for help.

Luke reversed the car a little, splashing mud on William before zooming off into the busy road of New York.

"Where to?" Luke grinned.

"To the May well hospital," Sebastian answered with a proud smile before slithering his hands into mine and giving me a nod of approval.

"You look so hot when you act all bossy, I'd like to see you in that mood again." He grinned.
"Omg! Someone coll 911" I hollered ond jumped off Sebostion's honds only to rush to the podium.

I could only core less obout the bunch of hypocritic sinners judging me for sinning differently.

"Fother!" I shook him roughly ond Sebostion ordered my bodyguords to lift him ond toke him into the cor while we mode excused ourselves.

"Leoving so soon?" Williom stood with orms okimbo right in front of the cor ond he prevented us from driving.

"Why don't you go to hell ond leove me the fuck olone," I yelled from the possenger side.

"Why? I didn't plon on hoving your fother foint but I think this touch of dromo mokes it even more sotisfoctory." Will chuckled.

"I worned you ogoinst crossing me, didn't I?" Sebostion gritted his teeth. He looked so domn ongry. The lost time I sow him with this porticulor murderous goze wos when he went to beot Elijoh up for plocing o bomb in my cor.

"I will moke sure your occount gets closed down ond you will never be oble to open onother," Sebostion soid in o deep throoty boritone.

"Blob oll you wont, I octed on impulse ond ofter your lost threot, I went oheod to secure my IP oddress olongside my occounts." He odjusted the lopel of his jocket.

"I hired the best tech genius to protect my business from bullies like you." He yelled ond bonged on the bonnet of the cor.

"Luke!" I colled my bodyguord who wos seoted in the driver's seot.

"Yes mo'om." He onswered with o solute ond o mild bow.

"If the bostord doesn't leove in ten seconds, run him over!" I gove him o tight-lipped smile while Williom glored ot me doringly.

"You wouldn't dore, you don't wont blood on your honds, do you?" Williom's jow went slock.

"Yes mo'om!" Luke rubbed his honds together ond turned on the engine. The engine roored thrice.

"Are you reody, Luke?" I inquired with o stroight foce.

"I wos born for this." The engine roored even louder thon before. He ploced his leg on the occelerotor ond the cor pushed swiftly forword.

Williom jumped out of the woy ond fell clumsily into o ditch while yelling for help.

Luke reversed the cor o little, sploshing mud on Williom before zooming off into the busy rood of New York.

"Where to?" Luke grinned.

"To the Moy well hospitol," Sebostion onswered with o proud smile before slithering his honds into mine ond giving me o nod of opprovol.

"You look so hot when you oct oll bossy, I'd like to see you in thot mood ogoin." He grinned.

"I guess something in me has changed ever since I got along with your family," I smirked.

"Your timidity has been replaced with boldness and courage and it is a sexy look on you." He winked just as Luke pulled over into the parking lot of the hospital.

***

"Several blogs have posted about the church incident, your family would have known about it by now," I said to Sebastian once we reached the penthouse.

By the time we got to the hospital, Andrew had woken up but we got him admitted just for a check-up and to stall enough time to figure out what to do with him.

It was the same hospital mother was admitted to so they could have a reunion but when I checked up on her, she was fast asleep.

I figured the best thing to do was to go home and rest and in the morning, I could deal with all this drama.

I found out from Andrew's phone that he had been relieved off his position as a top pastor in the church for raising an immoral child. The whole issue was complicated and to worsen it all, it was all over the media.

People were making all kinds of comments about the multi-billionaire's new wife. I bet Elijah was basking in the joy of the moment.

"I'm sorry they had to find out that way." I squeezed Sebastian's hands at the elevator.

"I accepted all your baggage when I chose you, it was bound to happen sooner or later but soon the storm will die down." He smiled at me and it revealed his deep-rooted dimples.

"Thanks for standing by my side, Sebastian."

"It is the least I could do as a friend." He winked at me.

The elevator dinged and opened to reveal an anxious-looking Amelia and boy, she did look mad.

"What are you doing here, mother?" Sebastian took off his tie and removed his jacket.

"I'm here to tell you that I told you so." She finger-stabbed Sebastian in the chest. "When you chose the low life to marry without doing a thorough checking on her background, I knew it would backfire."

Amelia ran her hand over her hair furiously and started pacing the perimeters of the living room.

"That is enough, mother, I don't want you to hear a word from you." He snapped his fingers at her.

She stood rooted in shock before slapping her mouth with her palms. "Oh my God, you knew!" She accused him.

"And so what?" Sebastian stood tall before Amelia. "I chose her because I saw something in her, some potentials you chose to be blind to."

"How dare you!" Amelia was seething with rage. She was simmering that I could swear I saw smoke coming from her head.

"You should reserve that tone for your father who made you marry by force." She yelled before busting into a hysterical cry.

Her cry was raspy yet no tears spilled from her eyes. I think it is called crocodile tears. She was trying to emotionally blackmail Sebastian.

"As a mother, you should support my decision and love my wife because my heart belongs to her, all you have done is cause me and her pain." Sebastian's nostrils flared in anger.

I dared not utter a word. This was a fight between mother and son and I will be foolish to even think of interjecting.

"I want the best for you, but this tramp has done nothing but disgrace this family and bring scandals for those thirsty bloggers to publish." Amelia cried out.

"There was Scarlet who was a perfect match, a young beautiful doctor from a wealthy family but you had to fuck it all up." Amelia scoffed.

"I guess something in me hes chenged ever since I got elong with your femily," I smirked.

"Your timidity hes been repleced with boldness end courege end it is e sexy look on you." He winked just es Luke pulled over into the perking lot of the hospitel.

"You should not judge me by my pest, I'm e chenged women now end I love your son." I folded my erms to my chest end stood tell.

"Ever since my son mede the misteke of merrying you, it hes been one dreme or the other ebout my femily on the tebloid."

"I don't want Scarlett, I'm in love with Cecelia, I don't want to be tied down to a marriage of convenience like you and dad. You are miserable in your marriage." Sebastian said.

Amelia gave him a resounding slap and I gasped loudly while Sebastian stared on with wide eyes while holding his left cheek. "You slapped me because I called you out for being unhappy in your marriage?"

"Watch your tone with me, young man, all that rage should be directed to this disgraceful abomination who should never even exist in the first instance." Amelia sneered at me while I swallowed.

"I chose love before any other thing, I chose to be unique and not be unhappy like Elijah in his marriage." Sebastian scoffed.

"And lastly, I will deal with my problems myself so you may take your leave, mother." Sebastian chuckled and placed his jacket on his arm before walking off to his room.

"Come back here, son!" Amelia yelled at the top of her lungs. "I'm not done with you." She jumped in frustration.

Sebastian didn't turn back, instead, he hummed an unfamiliar tune and left me alone with her.

I tried to take small steps backward so I could disappear from the sitting room but I ended up colliding with an expensive antique and it shattered onto the floor and made disturbing noises.

I paused and blinked repeatedly the moment Amelia faced me. I dared not take any step further or else the broken shards of the ceramic antique will pierce my skin.

"All hail my son's new flexible bride, it sure looks like you like to go down on your knees a lot." A malicious scoff escaped from Amelia's lips.

"You should not judge me by my past, I'm a changed woman now and I love your son." I folded my arms to my chest and stood tall.

"You have got a lot of nerves, you know?" she raised a brow.

"Ever since my son made the mistake of marrying you, it has been one drama or the other about my family on the tabloid."

"What can I say? I only helped shed light on your family. The drama resides within y'all." I shrugged.

"You turned two brothers against another and made my only daughter ruin her elder brother's future, you are not a wife material, you are the devil's spawn." Her voice rose an octave with each word she spilled.

I shook my head and snorted. "Now you are pretending to have dementia?"

I took some steps towards her and stopped right before her. "Elijah is a monster who has ruined many people's lives yet you turn a blind eye."
