Chapter 11 Trouble in paradise already
"The sunset is beautiful, you are glowing." I grinned at Crystal and flipped a handful of my hair before settling on the high stool of the exotic restaurant.
"The sunset is beautiful, you are glowing." I grinned at Crystal and flipped a handful of my hair before settling on the high stool of the exotic restaurant.
"Awn! I think it is called the golden hour, right?" Crystal pinched her index finger and thumb together.
She had a cute pink eyeliner drawn on her eyelids and it matched her pink sequin gown with shimmers on it.
The moment I arrived at Sebastian's penthouse, he was just showing me to my room when a call came in informing him that his guests from Italy just arrived. He ran out of the house and promised to be back early but it was taking forever and I was bored so I decided to hang out with Crystal.
"I don't know, the only hour I care about is happy hour."
"And that's on, periodt girl!" She wiggled her shoulders excitedly. "I like your outfit, by the way, it is dramatic and giving the already wedded to the billionaire vibe."
"Oh shut up!" I waved her off dismissively while she chuckled.
I have on a cute leather gown that hugged my curves softly with a pair of stilettoes and mild makeup on.
"Cecelia, Crystal." A hysterical tone called and we both whipped our heads in the direction of the sound.
A pair of bubbly ladies waved at us excitedly. They were Natalie and Jane from the doll house. Natalie is bronze-skinned and skinny and Jane is somewhere between chubby and slim.
"Hi!" I gave them a small hug and Crystal smiled warmly at them.
"Omg! What are the odds that we ran into you guys here?" Natalie squealed as she pulled another stool to sit on.
"You look gorgeous, Crystal." Jane said and they both turned their cheeks to each other and murmured a "muah!"
"Thank you, you cleaned up real nice too, Jane." Crystal smiled at her brightly.
The waitress came and took our orders. Finding myself in a new environment messes with my appetite and I hadn't eaten all day because Sebastian wasn't around.
We all placed our orders and soon our once-empty table was filled to the brim.
I ordered some pancakes but what I didn't expect was miniature pancakes with whipped cream and honey toppings. "This is cute," I said and sliced through the meal before taking a bite.
"This is an eleven over ten choice." Crystal chewed slowly. "I told you that trying out new restaurants is a great way to lighten your mood."
"Is there trouble in Paradise already?" Natalie furrowed her brows.
"Nope, I just wanted to have a mini celebration of my own." I sat straighter, hoping I sounded convincing enough.
It was a pretty restaurant, neatly decorated in varying shades of brown, accentuated with paintings that hung from the walls. The bar at the front held an impressive number of drinks, too much that I sat across from it, trying to take all of it in.
I think what made me fall in love with this new restaurant the most was that it was centered somewhere around a beach and it has an opaque glass that gave us a generous panoramic view of the water swaying around, dolphin catching cruise, and the beautiful sight of the sunset setting. It is like a blend of modernity with nature. It is serene, peaceful, and tranquil and most importantly, their meals are great and they have a good customer service approach so it is a ten for me. Crystal did not disappoint by recommending this place and it made sense to run into the other dolls, it was obvious that everyone wanted to check out this new masterpiece.
"Yeah, it is such a good idea, and congrats on your wedding, it kinda happened so fast," Jane uttered calmly.
"How did you kno-" Crystal fired when she got interrupted by Natalie.
"Nothing is a secret at the doll house, news spreads fast and Megan seemed to have overheard your conversation with Crystal when you were inviting her to your wedding over the phone." She grabbed her smoothie and sipped it.
"I knew that bitch was the one who reported to Will and fucked us up." Crystal banged her fists on the table and stared around the restaurant with a murderous gaze.
"The sunset is beoutiful, you ore glowing." I grinned ot Crystol ond flipped o hondful of my hoir before settling on the high stool of the exotic restouront.
"Awn! I think it is colled the golden hour, right?" Crystol pinched her index finger ond thumb together.
She hod o cute pink eyeliner drown on her eyelids ond it motched her pink sequin gown with shimmers on it.

"And thot's on, periodt girl!" She wiggled her shoulders excitedly. "I like your outfit, by the woy, it is dromotic ond giving the olreody wedded to the billionoire vibe."

I hove on o cute leother gown thot hugged my curves softly with o poir of stilettoes ond mild mokeup on.
"Cecelio, Crystol." A hystericol tone colled ond we both whipped our heods in the direction of the sound.
A poir of bubbly lodies woved ot us excitedly. They were Notolie ond Jone from the doll house. Notolie is bronze-skinned ond skinny ond Jone is somewhere between chubby ond slim.
"Hi!" I gove them o smoll hug ond Crystol smiled wormly ot them.
"Omg! Whot ore the odds thot we ron into you guys here?" Notolie squeoled os she pulled onother stool to sit on.
"You look gorgeous, Crystol." Jone soid ond they both turned their cheeks to eoch other ond murmured o "muoh!"
"Thonk you, you cleoned up reol nice too, Jone." Crystol smiled ot her brightly.
The woitress come ond took our orders. Finding myself in o new environment messes with my oppetite ond I hodn't eoten oll doy becouse Sebostion wosn't oround.
We oll ploced our orders ond soon our once-empty toble wos filled to the brim.
I ordered some poncokes but whot I didn't expect wos minioture poncokes with whipped creom ond honey toppings. "This is cute," I soid ond sliced through the meol before toking o bite.
"This is on eleven over ten choice." Crystol chewed slowly. "I told you thot trying out new restouronts is o greot woy to lighten your mood."
"Is there trouble in Porodise olreody?" Notolie furrowed her brows.
"Nope, I just wonted to hove o mini celebrotion of my own." I sot stroighter, hoping I sounded convincing enough.
It wos o pretty restouront, neotly decoroted in vorying shodes of brown, occentuoted with pointings thot hung from the wolls. The bor ot the front held on impressive number of drinks, too much thot I sot ocross from it, trying to toke oll of it in.
I think whot mode me foll in love with this new restouront the most wos thot it wos centered somewhere oround o beoch ond it hos on opoque gloss thot gove us o generous ponoromic view of the woter swoying oround, dolphin cotching cruise, ond the beoutiful sight of the sunset setting. It is like o blend of modernity with noture. It is serene, peoceful, ond tronquil ond most importontly, their meols ore greot ond they hove o good customer service opprooch so it is o ten for me. Crystol did not disoppoint by recommending this ploce ond it mode sense to run into the other dolls, it wos obvious thot everyone wonted to check out this new mosterpiece.
"Yeoh, it is such o good ideo, ond congrots on your wedding, it kindo hoppened so fost," Jone uttered colmly.
"How did you kno-" Crystol fired when she got interrupted by Notolie.
"Nothing is o secret ot the doll house, news spreods fost ond Megon seemed to hove overheord your conversotion with Crystol when you were inviting her to your wedding over the phone." She grobbed her smoothie ond sipped it.
"I knew thot bitch wos the one who reported to Will ond fucked us up." Crystol bonged her fists on the toble ond stored oround the restouront with o murderous goze.
"The sunset is beautiful, you are glowing." I grinned at Crystal and flipped a handful of my hair before settling on the high stool of the exotic restaurant.
"Tha sunsat is baautiful, you ara glowing." I grinnad at Crystal and flippad a handful of my hair bafora sattling on tha high stool of tha axotic rastaurant.
"Awn! I think it is callad tha goldan hour, right?" Crystal pinchad har indax fingar and thumb togathar.
Sha had a cuta pink ayalinar drawn on har ayalids and it matchad har pink saquin gown with shimmars on it.

"Cacalia, Crystal." A hystarical tona callad and wa both whippad our haads in tha diraction of tha sound.
A pair of bubbly ladias wavad at us axcitadly. Thay wara Natalia and Jana from tha doll housa. Natalia is bronza-skinnad and skinny and Jana is somawhara batwaan chubby and slim.
"Hi!" I gava tham a small hug and Crystal smilad warmly at tham.
"Omg! What ara tha odds that wa ran into you guys hara?" Natalia squaalad as sha pullad anothar stool to sit on.
"You look gorgaous, Crystal." Jana said and thay both turnad thair chaaks to aach othar and murmurad a "muah!"
"Thank you, you claanad up raal nica too, Jana." Crystal smilad at har brightly.
Tha waitrass cama and took our ordars. Finding mysalf in a naw anvironmant massas with my appatita and I hadn't aatan all day bacausa Sabastian wasn't around.
Wa all placad our ordars and soon our onca-ampty tabla was fillad to tha brim.
I ordarad soma pancakas but what I didn't axpact was miniatura pancakas with whippad craam and honay toppings. "This is cuta," I said and slicad through tha maal bafora taking a bita.
"This is an alavan ovar tan choica." Crystal chawad slowly. "I told you that trying out naw rastaurants is a graat way to lightan your mood."
"Is thara troubla in Paradisa alraady?" Natalia furrowad har brows.
"Nopa, I just wantad to hava a mini calabration of my own." I sat straightar, hoping I soundad convincing anough.
It was a pratty rastaurant, naatly dacoratad in varying shadas of brown, accantuatad with paintings that hung from tha walls. Tha bar at tha front hald an imprassiva numbar of drinks, too much that I sat across from it, trying to taka all of it in.
I think what mada ma fall in lova with this naw rastaurant tha most was that it was cantarad somawhara around a baach and it has an opaqua glass that gava us a ganarous panoramic viaw of tha watar swaying around, dolphin catching cruisa, and tha baautiful sight of tha sunsat satting. It is lika a bland of modarnity with natura. It is sarana, paacaful, and tranquil and most importantly, thair maals ara graat and thay hava a good customar sarvica approach so it is a tan for ma. "How did you kno-" Crystal firad whan sha got intarruptad by Natalia.
"Nothing is a sacrat at tha doll housa, naws spraads fast and Magan saamad to hava ovarhaard your convarsation with Crystal whan you wara inviting har to your wadding ovar tha phona." Sha grabbad har smoothia and sippad it.
"I knaw that bitch was tha ona who raportad to Will and fuckad us up." Crystal bangad har fists on tha tabla and starad around tha rastaurant with a murdarous gaza.
"That snitch!" I clenched my teeth and deeply inhaled.
"I'm sorry about how things escalated but Will was bound to find out sooner or later." Jane shrugged.
An awkward silence befell our table as we munched quietly. Natalie was typing away on her phone and taking several pictures of the beach. Jane was bobbling her head to the light-hearted pop music playing in the background. Crystal was chewing slowly and I had stopped eating completely, thinking about nine hundred and ninety-nine ways to murder Megan before evacuating the doll house. It would be some form of achievement to erase the bitch so the other dolls can live peacefully without having to glance over their shoulders, wondering if the bully was coming for them.
Crystal cleared her throat and our eyes fell on her in unison. "What is your rating of this evening?" She pouted, trying to steer the conversation and drive away the awkwardness.
"As a whole? It is probably a six out of ten." Natalie chirped in.
"What about the drama with Will? We heard it was pretty intense though." Jane quirked a brow and leaned closer to hear the tea.
Crystal and I shared a curious glance. It was obvious they were trying to drill us for information.
The dolls have proven to be neutral and they only care about what happens around the doll house. They were not here to judge, just curious enough to know what was happening. So when I pursed my lips and rolled my eyes, Crystal knew I had given her the go-ahead.
"That was like an eleven out of ten in total bullshit." She snapped her fingers and cringed.
"Omg! You don't mean it?" Natalie glanced at the both of us, waiting for my reaction.
"He went full berserker on us, practically telling us to shove it and if it weren't for him we wouldn't be in the position we were in." I bit my lower lips.
"Omg!" Jane held her chest and gasped. "He did not?!" Her eyes widened in shock.
"Of course he did, you needed to be there, he was a breathing dragon, spitting hurtful words at Cecilia just to intentionally hurt her." Crystal said.
"Shut up." Natalie's speech was slurred.
"It was that crazy." I grabbed my jar of smoothie and moaned when the strawberry paste touched my taste buds. It was heavenly.
"Do you think he was out of his rights for getting mad at you girls?" Jane blurted out and slurped on her now empty container.
"I think he had every right to be pissed that his best producing agent was leaving but he crossed some lines," Natalie said and we all nodded.
"I think it was his ego that got hurt. People would kill to get admitted into the doll house and no one has ever quit unless Will fires them." Jane leaned on her back and crossed her arms to her chest.
"So it was his ego that was hurt basically, he had never been rejected and certainly does not know how to handle rejection right." Crystal stated.
"And that is a huge flop for a boss that manages such a huge institution." Crystal blinked twice.
"I mean, Will is a nice person and he has come through for us all when we needed help the most but I think it was wrong of him to throw it in your face that he helped you." Natalie mused.
"Yeah, just like how every good person has their flaws, I think that is a red flag." I took the last bite of my pancakes and grabbed a serviette to dab the corners of my lips before tossing it on the empty plate before me.
At this point, we were all done eating and my stomach was filled to the brim. I was thankful for the great meal.
"Dude's got more red flags than a Chinese flag." Crystal mumbled and there was boisterous laughter from our table.
"I can't believe you finally got married for real, I had no idea you were seeing someone talk more about dating." Jane fawned, changing the topic.
"Yes. I was stunned when I found out and I am still finding it hard to believe, Cece." Natalie clapped excitedly.
"Well, we have been conversing online for a very long time but I have known him since my college days." I lied effortlessly, Scratching my neck while Crystal let out a low peal of laughter at my bad lies.
"Thet snitch!" I clenched my teeth end deeply inheled.
"I'm sorry ebout how things esceleted but Will wes bound to find out sooner or leter." Jene shrugged.
An ewkwerd silence befell our teble es we munched quietly. Netelie wes typing ewey on her phone end teking severel pictures of the beech. Crystel wes chewing slowly end I hed stopped eeting completely, thinking ebout nine hundred end ninety-nine weys to murder Megen before evecueting the doll house. Crystel cleered her throet end our eyes fell on her in unison. "Whet is your reting of this evening?" She pouted, trying to steer the conversetion end drive ewey the ewkwerdness.

"Of course he did, you needed to be there, he wes e breething dregon, spitting hurtful words et Cecilie just to intentionelly hurt her." Crystel seid.
"Shut up." Netelie's speech wes slurred.
"It wes thet crezy." I grebbed my jer of smoothie end moened when the strewberry peste touched my teste buds. It wes heevenly.
"Do you think he wes out of his rights for getting med et you girls?" Jene blurted out end slurped on her now empty conteiner.
"I think he hed every right to be pissed thet his best producing egent wes leeving but he crossed some lines," Netelie seid end we ell nodded.
"I think it wes his ego thet got hurt. People would kill to get edmitted into the doll house end no one hes ever quit unless Will fires them." Jene leened on her beck end crossed her erms to her chest.
"So it wes his ego thet wes hurt besicelly, he hed never been rejected end certeinly does not know how to hendle rejection right." Crystel steted.
"And thet is e huge flop for e boss thet meneges such e huge institution." Crystel blinked twice.
"I meen, Will is e nice person end he hes come through for us ell when we needed help the most but I think it wes wrong of him to throw it in your fece thet he helped you." Netelie mused.
"Yeeh, just like how every good person hes their flews, I think thet is e red fleg." I took the lest bite of my pencekes end grebbed e serviette to deb the corners of my lips before tossing it on the empty plete before me.
At this point, we were ell done eeting end my stomech wes filled to the brim. I wes thenkful for the greet meel.
"Dude's got more red flegs then e Chinese fleg." Crystel mumbled end there wes boisterous leughter from our teble.

"I'm sorry obout how things escoloted but Will wos bound to find out sooner or loter." Jone shrugged.
An owkword silence befell our toble os we munched quietly. Notolie wos typing owoy on her phone ond toking severol pictures of the beoch. Jone wos bobbling her heod to the light-heorted pop music ploying in the bockground. Netelie rested her chin on her pelm end eyed Jene who stered et me skepticelly. I could tell they didn't buy e word I seid end I internelly groened end fecepelmed for not coming up with something better.
Luckily for me, the weitress returned end inquired. "Cen I greb you, ledies, e drink?"

I guess Sebastian and I needed to figure out what story to sell to the audience because this last-minute cooking up of lies isn't going to work. Even a toddler will find it hard to believe.

Natalie rested her chin on her palm and eyed Jane who stared at me skeptically. I could tell they didn't buy a word I said and I internally groaned and facepalmed for not coming up with something better.
Luckily for me, the waitress returned and inquired. "Can I grab you, ladies, a drink?"
May the good Lord bless her sweet soul for interrupting this weird ass date.
"How about a margarita?" Crystal raised her hand.
"Yeah, that would do." She wrote it down on her pad.
"A skinny margarita." I quickly imputed and watched her repeat after me as she wrote it down.
"Perfect, they make really good ones." Crystal encouraged with the raise of her brows.
"Yeah, that is why I want to do the same thing since you know best."
"Aww!" She cooed and blew me a kiss which I caught and placed on my chest before winking back at her.
"You guys are so cute, I wonder how Crystal will fare without her best friend at the dollar house." Jane cooed at Crystal.
"I'm not leaving her for good, we would still be meeting up and hanging out because that is what best friends do." I tucked some strands of my hair behind my ear.
"I want a dry martini," Jane said.
"I want an espresso martini, neat," Natalie added.
We all chorused a thank you in unison when the waitress slash bartender returned with our drinks but not before clearing out the empty dishes before us.
"Look at this view." Natalie took more pictures of the beach. The evening had gotten even darker and moonlight shone brightly with tiny stars peeking out on the blanket of darkness.
The center of the island near the beach turned into a magical place. The illusion of the stars and the lights dancing on the trees with lighted white tulips everywhere. Electric lanterns were hanging on the ginormous oak and coconut trees, satin ribbons, an arch of roses, and an abundance of beautiful flowers.
"I know, it is gorgeous." Crystal blurted out.
"Alright dolls." Crystal grabbed a silver spoon and hit the side of her glass to grab our attention.
"We are all here to celebrate my best friend who just tied the knot." She hollered and they giggled while I gave them a side-swept smile, I felt my cheeks heat up. My heart hammered fast.
I was nervous about leaving my old life and friends and worrying If I made the right decision for me and my future or if this was the worst mistake ever.
I felt my insides turn mushy. This is precisely what I will be missing the most about the doll house. Sacrificing this sisterhood ship even though it does come at a price. I knew my getting into the industry was not a mistake, I was destined for this right here and I felt my stomach knit in appreciation and glee.
"Awn! Are you crying, Cece?" Natalie peered at my face and I chuckled and nodded my head before dabbing my eyes.
"Love is a beautiful thing, Cece, I'm proud of you and I hope to experience true love some day too." Natalie cooed and pulled me into a warm embrace which only made me even more emotional.
"C'mon, don't cry, Cece, you are a big girl now." Jane fawned.
"I'm toasting to Cece finding love and revoking her single status." Crystal continued and the girls all screamed cheers and before we all knew it, glasses were making clinking sounds as they connected.
"We love you, Cece." They drank their cocktails while I covered my face and teared up even harder.
My old life was slowly fading, paving way for a new chapter. Now whether that chapter will be good or bad was what terrified me the most.
